So what does this have to do with David S Diamonds? |

How do I relate and/ or use the BrillianceScope results with the 4C's and other measures?
Again, the 4C's measurements can often times --if interpreted correctly-- indicate beauty. However, the only thing they can absolutely predict with 100% accuracy is the rarity of the diamond. Rarity does not always correlate to maximum beauty. When it comes to the beauty and appearance of the diamond, it is the "cut" aspect of the 4C's that most affects light performance and thus is most important. Unfortunately, it is also the most complex to understand. That is why the BrillianceScope is so helpful. For, it is possible for a "lower-end" SI diamond to sparkle better and be more visually attractive than a "higher-end" VVS stone, if it is cut better and thus has better light performance. The BrillianceScope would help you identify such a "diamond in the rough", whereas simply looking at the 4C's would not. At the end of the day, if beauty is what matters the most to you, then Wagner provides the following analogy to describe how the BrillianceScope measure of beauty relates to the metrics of the 4C's: "Would Julia Roberts be any less beautiful if she had a mole on her ankle?"
So, are you telling me the BrillianceScope is more important than all the other measures?
In Wagner words': "The color and clarity define the rarity of the material, but light performance defines the beauty." This question really becomes a consumer's choice between rarity and beauty. Collectors may pay more for a near-flawless diamond even if it is dull and not particularly noticeable. But for the average guy who isn't planning on spending hundreds of thousands for a flawless diamond, rarity can be irrelevant. What it boils down to for the consumer is a decision between spending money in order to be noticed, or spending money on something that will get noticed. Wagner finished the interview by adding: "The BrillianceScope does not attempt to make the decision for the consumer, rather it provides objective information for each consumer to consider in the diamond-buying process."
So what does this have to do with David S Diamonds?
David S Diamonds wants to give consumers a better solution by providing diamonds that conform to the ratings of both the GIA's 4c's and the BrillianceScope. Advancements in technology and skill have allowed David S to cut diamonds in a way that maximizes their sparkle and beauty. To ensure that this is a truth, David S uses the BrillianceScope to prove the superiority of the cut. It will still benefit consumers to use the GIA Gem Trade Laboratory Report to verify the accuracy of the 4C's, but the BrillianceScope will provide good supplemental data on the diamond's cut performance and visual aesthetics. David S Diamonds advises this because we believe in giving the consumer what they paid for, not something that will only look good under certain lighting. It is David S Diamonds' goal to give consumers all the information, and the Best Prices, and let the consumer decide.
